Curriculum vitae’s are boring, so I created this site to visually support, enhance, and expand the contents of my CV and showcase my experience thus far as a librarian. I completed my Master of Library and Information Science at Wayne State University in December 2008 and have been the Distance Learning Librarian at Norwich University since August 2009.
As Distance Learning Librarian, I lead relations between the library and Norwich’s distance student population, which consists entirely of fully online graduate students. This includes providing research and technical support, as well as both asynchronous and synchronous online instruction and managing the library website for online students.
My research interests blossomed since becoming engrossed with serving distance students. I am most interested in examining services for distance students, synchronous and asynchronous instruction in the online environment, management of and innovation in virtual reference, outreach and marketing efforts to all user populations, and overall how libraries can foster a positive user experience.
